Wireless network provide the most cost effective digital network solution for complex network management. LoRaWAN is an ideal radio technology suitable for use in IIoT network project. However, the standard LoRaWAN traffic handling is not optimized for application such as facility metering and large payload usage. Some customization is necessary to maximize the potential of conventional LoRaWAN.
Electrical power metering has an inherent large data size requirement. Typically 20 electrical parameters are transmitted to provide kWh, Voltage, Current, Power, THDi%, PF. The solution is our DAXView RTU100 data compression process that compress the large value into packet size that satisfy the regulatory standard in airtime and payload limit.
Water usage monitoring has now been extended to provide leakage and valve stuck condition alert detection. Such intelligent features are derived from the flow analysis of the water meter reading at regular fixed interval time. DAXView WMIU300 has built in packet buffer to ensure all interval time reading are transmitted without data losses.
The inherent network transmission of conventional LoRaWAN is sporadic and create instance of data collision. This issue will become exponentially worst as more than 10 metering device are in the network. DAXView Cloud Traffic Controller is an end-to-end Cloud to Gateway to Node transmission handling feature that ensure transmission are coordinated to avoid collision.
